Colonial Fair - The students will be starting to prepare for the Colonial Fair which will be in February.  This week, students will choose groups and a Colonial Job and they will start doing research for their Colonial Store Front.  They will be building Colonial Store Fronts to represent their Colonial Jobs.  Once the students decide what they are going to use to build their Colonial Stands, they will need to bring supplies in from home.  Students have created their Colonial Store Fronts from cardboard, wood, and much more.  We do allow them to bring hammers and nails to school for this project, if needed.  Please do not hesitate to ask if you have any questions. 

The Colonial Fair is February 7th. Check the pictures on the Blog under the Colonial Fair Tab for examples of Colonial Store fronts that students built last year. 

 In a couple of weeks, we have the Walk Through the Revolutionary War.  This week the students will get their parts to memorize.  The students will need to get a costume for this event.  Goodwill and second-hand clothing stores are great places to get some items for their Colonial costumes.  In the student resources tab you can find a link about the Walk Through and the different parts. The Walk through time for our class is Tuesday, January 24th from 8:30 to 11:00.
